Let us introduce ourselves:

James Bay Distillers is an independently owned craft distillery at Paine Field Airport in Everett, Washington just north of Seattle. 

We believe exceptional world-class spirits come from curiosity, discipline, and doing the work ourselves with superior ingredients.  From the beginning, our focus has been on small-batch gins, whiskies, and vodkas distilled in-house, with an emphasis on balance, flavor, and careful experiments. We approach distilling as both craft and problem-solving.  We ask not just what tradition expects, but what the spirit can become when all factors are handled intentionally. This is likely whyTrendHunterhas featured us seven times for innovation. 

Our Washington-distilled spirits have earned top ratings in national and international competitions, from the Los Angeles and New York to Hong Kong, Tokyo and the United Kingdom.  This validates our style that favors flavor over formula and independence over scale.   We are particularly known for our modern American and international gins, which explore citrus, floral, fruit, and culinary botanicals.

Every bottle is developed and refined by our own team in Everett, Washington, reflecting a hands-on approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.  As a Seattle-area craft distillery, James Bay Distillers proudly represents Washington State on the global spirits and exports stage.  Each new spirit undergoes a one to two-year development process before release.   At the super premium level, each new release has to be just right.
