Who we are:

     James Bay Distillers, Ltd. is a craft distillery, spirits manufacturer and exporter of super premium Canadian, Scotch and American whiskies, gins, vodka and finocchietto.   We have operations in both Washington State and British Columbia. Our goal is to make every spirit a "sipping spirit," exceptional right form the bottle.   To your right you see our two co-founders, Ernest and Leigh Troth, who are joined by a number of other investors and supporters in our quest to make a wide selection of best quality internationally inspired spirits.

     We formed our company while living in Virginia, then moved to British Columbia in 2017 where the City of Victoria and the Province loved our plans, but we didn't quite find the right spot.  So, we pivoted in 2018 when we found Paine Field, which has proven to be a great location for production, distilling, sales and barrel-aging.  Plus, we have tons of parking!   Following the usual delays for Federal and State permits, we started selling whisky in September 2019!   Since then we've added over a dozen products with gold medals.  Seven are rated 90-points or higher, four are "double-gold" medal winners, and we have one "whisky of the year!"   Our Inner Harbour Scotch has the same awards from the Tokyo Whisky Competition as the 18-year Johnnie Walker.

Where can you find our spirits? 

At the Distillery:   We offer retail whisky, gin, vodka and finocchietto sales are at the distillery at the south end of Paine Field in Everett, WA during opening hours. 

Tastings and cocktails at our onsite bar are limited to 21+ only.   Soft drinks and snacks available also.  Under 21s are permitted in our retail area.

Locally:  you will also find us at Total Wine, Town & Country/Central Markets, and Downtown Spirits in Seattle.  Downtown Spirits will deliver for a very nominal fee from south of Tacoma to north of Arlington! 

Online for WA, AK and DC:  we sell online for residents of Washington State, Alaska and also ship to the District of Columbia.   We ship t-shirts and other merchandise to all states.  More states are coming soon for whisky and gin sales, so stay tuned, or contact us for details.

Online Nationwide: we sell and ship to some 43 states from this link.   Our partners at Great American Craft Spirits sell for us from their location near San Diego, California. 

Wholesale: 

We also ship wholesale to the California and Illinois!  Just contact Liberation Distribution, our wholesaler!  Need your liquor store to carry our products?  Let us know (or ask them to contact us).  We have all our California licenses in place to ship to LibDib, who in turn will quickly and efficiently ship to your liquor store.

In Indiana, please contact Indiana Small Batch for deliveries of our whiskies, gins, vodka and finocchietto.  They will contact us to place an order for you (on- and off-premise also.
